The evening opened with a moving tribute video honoring the life and legacy of Charlie Kirk, setting the tone for a night centered on hope and bold faith.
“Despite this tragedy, God has done amazing things around our nation and people are asking questions. . . It was like a wakeup call,” Pastor Greg Laurie shared. “This is your moment tonight. This is your wakeup call tonight. Don’t let it slip by.”

Phil Wickham and Chris Tomlin Worship
Phil Wickham began Hope for America’s worship with his popular songs, “Battle Belongs,” “What an Awesome God,” “Hymn of Heaven,” and more. Voices lifted together to sing lyrics like, our God is an awesome God. He reigns from Heaven above.

Chris Tomlin also led worship, helping us close the night in celebration after thousands made a commitment to Jesus Christ.

He encouraged the audience to declare the lyrics of “Our God” on campus and all over the nation, and to give praise to God with “Amazing Grace (My Chains Are Gone).” He also performed other well-known songs, like “Good Good Father” and “Holy Forever.”

“What an awesome crusade! Phil Wickman and Chris Tomlin were amazing, wonderful time of worship, powerful message,” one attendee wrote on social media.
Greg Laurie’s Crusade Message
Before inviting the audience to make a decision for Jesus Christ, Pastor Greg shared a message called, “Home Before Dark,” where he included his own testimony: “Christ entered in and changed my story, and He can change yours as well,” he said.
He also addressed a pressing question most people face: What is the meaning of my life?
“ You’re searching for meaning, you’re searching for purpose,” he said. “ And I’ll tell you what you’re really looking for right now. It’s not gonna be found on a phone. It’s not gonna be found in an object. It’s not going to even be found in religion. It’s found in a relationship with God through Jesus Christ.”

And he answered another popular question, what is God like?, drawing on Jeremiah 29:11 and the story of the prodigal son.
On social media, an attendee shared about her Hope for America experience and the powerful moment of invitation to accept Christ as someone who witnessed Charlie Kirk’s assassination. “I was there at UVU on 9/10 and witnessed the murder,” she wrote. “Seeing the UCCU arena filled with people who were hungry to heal was amazing. The altar call broke me with joyful tears. . . Healed and peaceful are two words I now identify with.”
