The Triune Existence of New Jerusalem – the Father

Ephesians 4:4-6 announces that there is “One Body and one Spirit, even as also you were called in one hope of your calling; one Lord, one faith, one baptism; one God and Father of all, who is over all and through all and in all.

Our existence with the Triune God in our ongoing experience of Him is described in Ephesians 4:4-6. This passage of Scripture shows how the Body of Christ exists with the Father, the Lord, and the Spirit as a foretaste of the existence of New Jerusalem in eternity….We need to allow the Father to be over us, through us, and in us. For Him to be over us, every detail of our life should be under His authority….If we are under His authority and give Him the thoroughfare within us, He will have a way to abide in us for us to exist with Him.*

The Lord Jesus as a man living on earth was fully under the Father’s authority. He spoke the Father’s word (John 8:28). He also did the Father’s will and work as He told us in John 4:34, “My food is to do the will of Him who sent Me and to finish His work.” And in His doing and speaking He sought the Father’s glory (John 7:18).

When we eat Jesus we will live because of Him (John 6:57) and have a living that matches His human life on earth, a living under the Father’s authority. This living prepares us for an under-the-throne life in New Jerusalem.
