The Greatest Testimony

“We accept human testimony, but God’s testimony is greater because it is the testimony of God which he has given about his Son.” 1 John 5:9

Eternity is on the hearts of all men, though hopes are dashed early on because of sin. Fear of a just punishment awaiting, whispers in our ears throughout our journey as we approach the end.

Where can we find peace for our souls? Come enter the private chamber of God and hear his word.

And now take your seats. The Creator of the worlds is about to speak. Here is his testimony: God has given us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. Whoever has the Son has life. Whoever does not have the Son of God does not have life. That’s it. His testimony is complete. (1 John 5:11-12)

There is no neutral position on the matter. Whoever believes in the Son of God accepts this testimony. But whoever does not believe God has made him out to be a liar, because they have not believed the testimony God has given about his Son. (1 John 5:10)

Look back in time with me now. To an eternity past. The Father and Son alone in council. Before the world began, the Son of God agrees to sacrifice his life to bring back a people to his Father. These sheep would hear his voice, believe and follow him. (John 17:1-4)

Christian friend, before you were born, in their most private chamber, the Father and Son devised the perfect plan and purpose to bring you home one day. Take great peace, these things are written to you who believe in the Son of God, so that you may know that you have eternal life! (1 John 5:13)

Father thank you for your clear testimony of the amazing love you have for your Son. I am so thankful to be included in the life of the Son of God! Your goodness to us is immeasurable.

However, I know You can use all the broken pieces to make a magnificent masterpiece. Help me not get stuck in a bad chapter due to disappointment or discouragement, but to keep moving forward, knowing there is more to be written. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.Where are you right now?
