Peace is a Weapon — SAMUELDEUTH.COM
Many don’t think of peace as a weapon because it seems like you’re trying to mix two concepts that don’t fit. Peace and war. But the truth is that we need weapons and tools that are greater than the war going on around us. While some in the world are facing actual wars, most are facing wars in the form of noise from pressures, tragedies, and all the narratives trying to fight for the attention of your heart and mind.
What are we going to use to fight against fear and anxiety? PEACE.
I’m not talking about finding peace on the top of a mountain somewhere or at the ocean, even though those places can be peaceful. I’m talking about finding peace from God.
The peace of God doesn’t come from “emptying your mind” but from filling your mind and heart with the word and presence of God! The peace of God becomes a guard against the lies and fears of the difficulties of life because each time the lies or fears come, PEACE reminds you of the goodness and nature of God! When you read the word of God and pray, and worship, you’ll find that you are more equipped to use that weapon of peace!
