It’s a truism that no one is exempted from the spiritual battle going on in the realms of the spirit. Christians should therefore say God’s armor prayer constantly in order to win over the devil and all other demonic forces who operates against us in life.

The enmity of Satan against Jesus Christ and the children of God has necessitated the use of spiritual weapons. It’s a spiritual war that affects every living soul. “For this reason, take up the full armor of God so that you may be able to stand your ground on the evil day, and having done everything, to stand. Stand firm therefore, by fastening the belt of truth around your waist, by putting on the breastplate of righteousness, by fitting your feet with the preparation that comes from the good news of peace, and in all of this, by taking up the shield of faith with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. And take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God. Be in the armor always just like the Roman soldier who begins dressing up by fastening his underrobes together with a belt, then putting on his breastplate and shoes. The ancient Greeks and Roman soldiers commenced every attack with a prayer to their gods for success. As Christians, we must commence attacks with prayers to the Lord of Heaven and Earth for victory.

Paul did draw our attention to what kind of preparation a good soldier needs to win his battles and we being Christians, must wear the armor of God in full power.

The ancient heroes are said to have had their armor sent to them by their gods; and even the great armor-maker, Vulcan, was reputed to be a god himself. This is just a fable, but what Apostle Paul Said in the book of Ephesians is about reality in the realms of the spirit.

Father Lord Of Heaven’s Armies, I come before you today as a faithful servant. You have promised me in your word that you will never let me stumble and fall. Lord help me to be a good soldier who will never be afraid of any enemy that lurks in darkness plotting to destroy my life and every good thing you have bestowed on me. Give me victory like you gave King David victory over his enemies. No weapon formed against me shall prosper because I am a child of God.
