God: The main Character & Superhero

    Good day, beautiful people.

I pray that this post meets you well? Today’s post has been inspired by Matthew 13:32-33. I hope you can take something away from today’s write-up. God bless ☺️

For context: Matthew 13:31-33 ~ “Another parable He put forth to them, saying: “The kingdom of heaven is like a mustard seed, which a man took and sowed in his field, which indeed is the least of all the seeds; but when it is grown it is greater than the herbs and becomes a tree, so that the birds of the air come and nest in its branches.” Another parable He spoke to them: “The kingdom of heaven is like leaven, which a woman took and hid in three measures of meal till it was all leavened.”

Even though God is the main superhero (only Saviour, for He can never share His glory with anyone [Isaiah 42:8]), our faith should be impactful enough to touch lives around us. No matter how small our faith may be.

Our good fruit should be evident for all to see. Our Christ-like attitude should be noticeable. This does not mean we should go around blowing our own trumpet by boastfully telling others about our ‘good deeds’.

    1. Who can perch in your branches?

      Perch: A temporary resting place

To perch in a tree means a bird or animal settles, rests, or sits on a branch or high spot.

      • Can people come to you and encounter the peace of God? Do they feel relieved and refreshed in your presence? Or do interactions with you leave others restless and drained? We should aspire to use our words to encourage and comfort others just as God Almighty comforts us.
      • Do you have the heart of a servant (imitating Christ, not forgetting that He washed His disciples’ feet)? Are you willing to serve others?

      2. Who can see the light of Christ being expressed through every area of your life?

        • Are you exhibiting the fruit of the Spirit?
        • Are you kind?
        • Does your speech glorify God?
        • Do you share?

(Do you sincerely love your neighbour as yourself?)

[Side-note: It’s not healthy to live in isolation; we should be a light that people can see shine in this dark world. The truth of the gospel should be shared, not concealed. Nobody lights a lamp and places it under a table. Pray against fear and social anxiety; take proactive steps to come out from under the table. Secondly, it’s important to remember that God says give out of what you have. Don’t burn yourself out in order to please people. You cannot pour from an empty cup, and in order to love your neighbour, you have to love yourself, which involves looking after your emotional, physical, and spiritual well-being, etc.)

Luke 8:16 ~ “No one, when he has lit a lamp, covers it with a vessel or puts it under a bed, but sets it on a lampstand, that those who enter may see the light.”

Ultimately, our lives should bring glory to God by pointing others to Christ! Our words should remind others that they’re loved by God and that He came into the world to save humanity.

        Continue to stay blessed.

Simply a young woman striving to encourage women of God, whilst trying to spread the gospel to a mass majority of ladies all over the world. I am an armature with regards to blogs, but with more time and by God’s grace I shall improve lol. I want every single female on earth to know how much she is loved by God (John 3:16)! Please feel free to contact me via email for encouragement, advise or prayer (I am not a qualified counsellor, or a pastor, but I believe as a young woman I will be able to relate with SOME of the things other women around the world are going through). <<< As of Feb 2019 I completed my Counselling level 3 diploma Praise God 💃🏾. I intend to help others not in my own strength, but with the help of the Holy Spirit.
