Why does Priest wear the hood?

Leviticus 21:10

And he that is the high priest among his brethren, upon whose head the anointing oil was poured, and that is consecrated to put on the garments, shall not uncover his head, nor rend his clothes;

  1. In the Old Testament, God forbid the high priest from uncovering his head.
  2. Several priests in the present age have continued with the practice.
  3.  However, the coming of the Lord Jesus Christ has cancelled the office of the high priest. Therefore, it is not expected any priest should continue behaving or practicing like a high priest.
    1. With the ministry of Jesus Christ, everybody is now a priest and a prophet.
