Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.

For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting.

And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.

-Galatians 6:7-9, KJV

Cheaters sow to the flesh and will reap destruction according to this passage out of Galatians. It will be an ugly reckoning. In fact, the writer of Hebrews has a very dark vision of that spiritual ending (see Hebrews 10:26-27).

Now, the reckoning may not be immediately. A harvest has to have time to grow and mature before it is taken in. Yet God is promising that a harvest will occur according to what is sown.

What do you want to reap?

My recommendation is to focus on continuing to do good. The harvest might not come immediately… or even in a long time. However, if you believe God, then this passage promises a very good harvest.

Focus on what you can do and focus on doing good in God’s power for the harvest is worth it!
