Transformed & Filled with Christ’s Riches
Ephesians 1:7 and 2:7 speak of “the riches of His grace” and in 3:8 is the phrase, “the unsearchable riches of Christ.”
It is with the riches of Christ that the Holy Spirit transforms the believers, whose natural element is of clay. After we have been regenerated with Christ as the divine life, we begin to be transformed by the Holy Spirit with the element of Christ’s divine life to be the material for the building up of the wall of the holy city.*
Transformation is an inward change, described in Romans 12:2 as “renewing.” We are renewed by the unsearchable riches of Christ being imparted into us to replace our natural composition. These riches of Christ become in us the constitution of New Jerusalem and fill us with this constitution.
Here is the chorus of a hymn about transformation; words and music.
–––Lord, transform us to Thine image
––––In emotion, mind, and will;
–––Saturate us with Thy Spirit,
––––All our being wholly fill.
