The Triune Existence of New Jerusalem – the Lord and the Spirit

Galatians 2:20 shows that, based on the death and resurrection of Christ, we live Christ and He lives in us. This living is for magnifying Him; Philippians 1:20-21 says, “Christ will be magnified [shown to be excellent] in my body, whether through life or through death. For to me, to live is Christ and to die is gain.” And New Jerusalem will be the eternal and greatest magnification of Him.

We live and magnify Christ by the bountiful supply of the Spirit (Phil. 1:19). We were all given to drink of this Spirit (1 Cor. 12:13) which we do by rejoicing, giving thanks to God, calling on the name of the Lord, proclaiming His riches, and singing (see Isa. 12).

We live by Christ by the bountiful supply of the Spirit of Jesus Christ for His magnification in our existence (Phil. 1:19-21)….We have been regenerated by the Spirit and baptized in the Spirit in order to drink the Spirit by calling on the Lord continually and drawing water with joy from Him as the fountain of living water (1 Cor. 12:13; Isa. 12:3-6). In this way we are being transformed by the Spirit and strengthened and enriched by the Spirit for the Body life, which will consummate in the New Jerusalem.*

Today we too often depart from living Christ but we can turn our hearts to Him and ask for His forgiveness. In New Jerusalem we will unceasingly receive the bountiful supply of the Spirit, we will live Christ one hundred percent, and the Triune God will be magnified to the whole universe.
