Genesis 16 vs 2

And Sarai said unto Abram, Behold now, the Lord hath restrained me from bearing: I pray thee, go in unto my maid; it may be that I may obtain children by her. And Abram hearkened to the voice of Sarai.

  1. Sarah, Abraham’s wife, persuaded him to commit adultery, and Abraham harkened to her.
  2. Sarah urged Abraham to commit polygamy, and he accepted.
  3. Abraham listened to the voice of his wife Sarah and had a child outside wedlock rather than listening to the voice of the Lord that assured that children would surely come through his loins.
  4. Abraham abandoned and distrusted God’s plan for his future and decided to devise a plan for himself.
  5. Abraham distrusted the voice of God and trusted the voice of his wife.

  • I will not commit the errors of Adam, Abraham and Samson in Jesus’ name.
