Praying with one accord manifests great wonders - Raising Zion

praying with one accord

When there is no life in the prayer, praying becomes a religious exercise. The presence of God is the highest voltage environment. When we pray in all sincerity, God answers.

What happens when we pray, in one accord? How to set the right expectations? Look at how the New Testament ministry began.

  1. We see the disciples wait for the day of Pentecost, in prayer. The 10 day gap wasn’t going to be easy they knew, because each day has its own evil (Matthew 6:34). They knew that waiting in the lord was critical to stay in line. 500 saw Jesus ascending into heaven, only 120 believed His promise.
  2. On the day of Pentecost, they wait in expectation, in prayer, for the Holy Spirit baptism fire to fall on them.
  3. From that day onwards we see the apostles and believers continuing daily in prayer. Signs and wonders followed them. God added souls to the church.

In Acts 4, we see how Peter seeks prayer from the church so they receive boldness to preach the gospel. Miracles and wonders follow, as they pray, in Acts 5.

When the church prayed together for Peter’s release from jail, God sent an angel to the rescue.

Praying with one accord is the only way to pray as believers

What do we need to pray with one accord? One mindedness.

  1. Likemindedness for one another, in edification and comfort in hope (Romans 15:1-6)
  2. Being in one mind also keeps us in compassion, love, pitiful and courteous (1 Peter 3:8)
  3. Grow in the mind of Jesus (Philippians 2:2,5)

Prayer is the beginning towards an overcoming life in Christ Jesus. When we start in prayer, we will end in thanksgiving. Be united in prayer as you make fresh decisions for life.

Let’s come together in prayer for all matters in this life and beyond. Maranatha, Praise God and Amen!
