Praying Scripture— Doubt

Scripture

‘If you can’?” said Jesus. “Everything is possible for the one who believes.” Right away the boy’s father cried out, “I do believe! Help me overcome my unbelief!”

Mark 9:23-24— NI(R)V

And

“Eight days later the disciples were together again, and this time Thomas was with them. The doors were locked; but suddenly, as before, Jesus was standing among them. “Peace be with you,” he said. Then he said to Thomas, “Put your finger here, and look at my hands. Put your hand into the wound in my side. Don’t be faithless any longer. Believe!” “My Lord and my God!” Thomas exclaimed. Then Jesus told him, “You believe because you have seen me. Blessed are those who believe without seeing me.”

John 20:24-29— NLT

And

“Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.”

Proverbs 3:5-6— NIV

Pray

Father God, sometimes doubt creeps in; help me to kick it out. I love and believe in you. Nourish me so that I trust you with all my heart and not lean on my understanding. When I do things on my own, I fail. But I know that with you, all things are possible. I pray for strength when doubt creeps in. Stand close to me and slow me down so I can focus on you and your promises.
In Jesus’ Name,
Amen
