Marriage is honorable among all, and the bed undefiled; but fornicators and adulterers God will judge.

It cuts to the core of the relationship. In fact, you have no marriage to even consider really as long as one partner is cheating. The cheater has decided to blow up the very foundation of the relationship and defile the marriage bed.

Now, some people–especially cheaters–will try to distract faithful spouses and pastors from this truth. They will try to make the conversation about anything except their sinful infidelity.

You are wasting your time with such individuals. They are not interested in repentance. What they want is someone to rubberstamp their sin. Don’t be that person!

Cheaters love to the change the subject when faced with the reality about how their lying and cheating is abusive. They do not want to accept the reality that nothing justifies harming their spouse like they are doing by cheating. However, taking such responsibility is the first step towards true repentance and spiritual healing.
