Navigating Relational Dynamics: Love like Christ
Good day, beautiful people,
It’s been a very long minute. I hope you’re all well and having a beautiful time of reflection leading up to the sacred Easter period? I pray that the light of Christ continues to guide your path.
Today’s post has been inspired by a precious quote I stumbled across in a book called ‘Risen Motherhood’. It has blessed me so much, so I couldn’t keep it to myself but had to share it with the online world.
‘Let Christ’s love in you be stronger than any misunderstanding, bigger than any feelings of resentment, louder than your desire for justice, and greater than your own prideful heart.’
Marriage/Family dynamics
Instead of focusing on who does what, and who hasn’t done what, fixate on trying to out-serve and out-love your spouse, sibling, best friend, etc . Remembering that Christ died for us whilst we were still sinners. And we love Him because He FIRST loved us. (Please be aware that I am not saying one should tolerate abuse. If that’s the case, please do seek professional help.)
Romans 5:8 ~ But God showed his great love for us by sending Christ to die for us while we were still sinners.
1 John 4:19 ~ We love Him because He first loved us.
Also, cultivate the habit of highlighting a person’s effort rather than magnifying their mistakes. (I sincerely thank God for His compassionate nature. Though we fall short, He shows us grace and mercy.) Refuse to focus on negative things and refuse to become like the unmerciful servant described in the parable of being forgiven for owing a huge debt, yet threw a fellow servant in prison for owing him a tiny fraction of what he owed the King (Matthew 18:21-35).
Philippians 4:8 ~ And now, dear brothers and sisters, one final thing. Fix your thoughts on what is true, and honorable, and right, and pure, and lovely, and admirable. Think about things that are excellent and worthy of praise.
Generally speaking, in all areas of our life, we should aspire to love like Christ.
It’s super hard to discipline the flesh, but thank God for the Holy Spirit. With God, ALL things are possible (Matthew 19:26), including having a godly marriage, forgiving offence, and extending a hand of forgiveness before an apology is received.
A simple prayer
Lord, please help me to love like Christ, to forgive like Christ, and to live like Christ.
Thank you for reading.

Christian Lady After God’s Own Heart 💜
Simply a young woman striving to encourage women of God, whilst trying to spread the gospel to a mass majority of ladies all over the world. I am an armature with regards to blogs, but with more time and by God’s grace I shall improve lol. I want every single female on earth to know how much she is loved by God (John 3:16)! Please feel free to contact me via email for encouragement, advise or prayer (I am not a qualified counsellor, or a pastor, but I believe as a young woman I will be able to relate with SOME of the things other women around the world are going through). <<< As of Feb 2019 I completed my Counselling level 3 diploma Praise God 💃🏾. I intend to help others not in my own strength, but with the help of the Holy Spirit. View more posts
