Hundreds Baptized at the 4th Annual Jesus Revolution Baptism
We had a great time at Pirate’s Cove for the 4th Annual Jesus Revolution Baptism this past weekend. Over 800 people were baptized!
We began these baptism events in 2023, and since then we’ve seen more than 9,400 total baptisms. And it’s all happening at Pirate’s Cove, the very location where thousands were baptized during the 1970s Jesus Movement. This is also the location where baptism scenes for the Jesus Revolution movie were filmed!
I heard some amazing stories as I was out there.
It was only a couple weeks ago that Newport Beach made headlines for the chaos, looting, and rioting that took place on Fourth of July.
Now, instead of rioting, there was worshipping. Instead of chaos, there was celebration. Instead of destruction, there was redemption.
And just the week before we headed down to the beach, the Harvest Crusade drew in 280,000+ total attendees and we ended the night with 4,200+ professions of faith.
What I saw at the crusade was this great hunger of people of every age, every demographic, every race—everybody—wanting to have a relationship with God. I saw desperation on the faces of people.
I see people wanting to encounter God. This gives me hope for the future of the United States.
