1 Thessalonians 4 vs 11-12
11 And that ye study to be quiet, and to do your own business, and to work with your own hands, as we commanded you;
12 That ye may walk honestly toward them that are without, and that ye may have lack of nothing.
- In this verse, Paul the Apostle tells us to have a source of income so that we can feed ourselves and be a blessing unto others.
- Do not be idle. Otherwise, poverty will overcome you.
- You cannot use prayer to cover poverty.
- There is a place for prayer, and there is a place for hard work.
- A lot of people are idle and lazy.
- One of the causes of poverty is idleness and laziness.
- Some people don’t want to work and want to be rich.
- Don’t use prayer or service to God to cover your idleness and laziness.
- For you to overcome poverty, you need to work and pray.
- Receive the spirit of hard work in Jesus’ mighty name. Amen.
