How Can Being Grateful Help You? – Pathways to Organization

I have missed writing this blog for the last few months – life gets in the way, but in a good way!

One of my daughters had a baby last year, and we have been busy helping them and loving this precious little boy. I’m also working with another great ministry, which I believe I have shared previously: https://pearlsofpromiseministries.com

I co-wrote the devotional Treasure: A Pearls of Promise 52-Week Devotional, which has now won two first-place awards in the devotional category! I’ve been busy traveling to those award conventions, writing weekly blogs, and co-hosting our twice-monthly radio programs. You can order the devotional on Amazon, it makes a great Christmas gift: Treasure

However, my primary goal is to motivate my blog audience to learn how to manage their day-to-day walk with the Lord as they follow the Pathway to Organization in their lives.

And now, with the world in such a turmoil, we need each other and God’s Word more than ever.

Just a few days ago, a very historical event happened – peace in the Middle East! From all my years of studying God’s Word, I know God is behind this peace plan so that His purposes will be accomplished. As for us? We are to keep going down the path He has given each one of us and sharing the gospel with as many people as we can. I believe Jesus’s return is very soon.

So, we need to focus on our walk with the Lord, our families, and taking care of all that God has entrusted to us, such as our homes, cars, family, and friends. We need to live a life of order, so please do all you can to maintain it. We need to take our eyes off our screens (I’m very guilty of this) and focus on today.

And I believe that being grateful for all God has given us will help us in every aspect of our lives. Because gratitude unlocks the full newness of life. It turns what we have into enough. It turns denial into acceptance, chaos into order, and confusion into clarity.

    Action Plan

    1. Count your blessings every day. Are you able to walk? Then be grateful for that!
    2. Speak gently to yourself and to others.
    3. Love others every day, all the time.
    4. Make sure to laugh every day.
    5. Let go of what you can’t control.
    6. Work hard at whatever the Lord has given you to do.
    7. Be productive, not lazy.
    8. Remember to take deep breaths all through the day.
    9. Be kind to everyone, especially those who don’t look like you.
    10. Pray, read God’s Word, and walk with the Lord daily.

    Emotional Check-up

Uncertain times can bring us fear and confusion. So, we need to go back to the fundamental and enduring values of family and faith. If you are disappointed with your life, realize that every disappointment becomes God’s appointment to work in your life and to bring all things together for good!

Check on your emotions this week and do all you can to stand firm on God’s Word and His promises, to work through the rough spots in your life, and to have gratitude that God is in control of your life and will never let go of your hand.

    Manna from Heaven

For God is not a God of disorder but of peace. I Corinthians 14:33

God created this world one step at a time. Let’s live each day one step at a time to have order and peace…and gratitude!
