1 Chronicles 2 3 The LORD Put Him To Death Powerpoint Church Sermon | PowerPoint Presentation Images | Templates PPT Slide | Templates for Presentation

1 Chronicles 2

  1. In 1 Chronicles 3, we were introduced to the God that kills, God the killer.
  2. Er the firstborn of Judah died, but we were told his death was not natural. He died on the hands of God.
  3. What was Er offence?
  4. The Bible says Er was a wicked man, whose actions were evil.
  5. The lesson here is that God is watching your actions.
  6. God judges every action even when alive.
  7. We do not have to wait till death before necessary rewards or punishment for our actions.
  8. The lesson here is that God kills the wicked.
  9. It is unfortunate that Judah which means praise could not train his children to be praises to God.

Prayers

  • Your firstborn and other children shall serve God and not be wayward in Jesus name.
  • Let the sword of God appear and slay every wicked oppressor of your life in Jesus name.
  • Anger of God that slew Er shall kill every wicked ruler in this nation in Jesus name.
  • I shall not die in the hands of God in Jesus name.
  • May God kill every contrary habit in your life in Jesus name.

Do Christian Values Work in What We Call the "Real World"?

In his classic text, The Contemplative Pastor, Eugene Peterson wrote:As a pastor, I don’t like being viewed as nice but insignificant. I bristle when a high-energy executive leaves the place of worship with the comment, ‘This was wonderful, Pastor, but now we have to get back to the real world, don’t we?’ I had thought we were in the most-real world, the world revealed as God’s, a world believed to be invaded by God’s grace and turning on the pivot of Christ’s crucifixion and resurrection.
