Co-laborers for Christ

    ETJ Co-laborers

God has given His people a big work to do, and each of us have our own assignment from headquarters. Only the judgment seat of Christ will reveal the contribution of those who labor tirelessly behind the scenes. I know that without the partnership of so many we could never do what the Lord has given us to do.

The Apostle Paul understood this principle. Follow his footsteps through the Book of Acts and read his references to so many “fellow laborers” in his New Testament letters, and you will find a model that all of us should follow. No minister or ministry is an island to itself. We are “workers together” (2 Corinthians 6:1), “striving together for the faith of the gospel” (Philippians 1:27).

In a series of “Meet the Team” articles I have tried to introduce you to so many who labor with us at Enjoying the Journey. In this final article, I want to tell you about others who have partnered with us in a variety of ways. Each doing their part to help us fulfill God’s commission.

    ETJ Finances

Enjoying the Journey is recognized as a 501(c)3 and we have worked diligently to be good stewards of the resources that God allows us to use. A big part of that is Tammy Jones who serves as the treasurer for ETJ. Tammy worked in my office at Crown College for many years and was a special help to me and to our family, and she has continued to take an interest in the work the Lord has called us to do.

Tammy married a young man who grew up in our youth group in Knoxville. Andrew Jones is an amazing testimony of the grace of God and a tremendous personal encouragement to me. He serves as a deacon and bus captain at the Temple Baptist Church of Powell, Tennessee. He and Tammy recently welcomed their first child, a beautiful little girl named Madilynn We are grateful for the Jones family and their friendship. Tammy helps oversee all of our financial accounting and reporting, and also serves as a proofreader for the books we publish.

ETJ is in every way a faith work. We depend on the Lord’s provision through His people for financial support. We are grateful for pastors and churches who have chosen to support the ministry as a part of their gospel mission work. In addition, individuals who have been helped by the resources have been a blessing through individual contributions. If you invest in this work, thank you. Your gifts enable us to provide the resources to people free of charge around the world. If you would like to know more about supporting ETJ visit us at ETJ.Bible or email us at [email protected].

    ETJ Content Contributors

One of my prayers for Enjoying the Journey is that its work would be larger than one man and its reach longer than one generation. To this end, we have begun offering a number of helpful articles from guest writers on our website. Men like missionary pioneer Dr. Charles Keen, evangelist and author Dr. Bob Sanders, Pastor Johnny Pope, and other wonderful writers are featured periodically. These men have been very gracious to allow us to pass along content that we believe will be a help to a larger audience.

John Buckner has recently joined the ETJ team and is providing amazing articles and video from locations around the world. His posts spotlight helpful lessons from Bible geography and archaeology, and shed light on needy places in a variety of countries.

In the coming days a new series of articles from Dr. Bill Giallourakis will examine current cultural issues in light of Scripture. This family of writers will grow as God leads and we are thrilled to be able to share these resources as tools for our readers. (If you do not receive articles in your inbox from ETJ you may sign up HERE.)

    ETJ Ministry Partners

Much of the work that we do is in conjunction with other ministry partners. Thank God for those who are willing to use their gifts for the work of God. Cody Stinson and Media Lifeline partner with us for our technology needs. Cody and his team host our website, mobile web-app, and even registration. They also do a wonderful job producing the daily broadcast and The Weekend Pulpit.

Faithworks Media has served as the publisher for our print projects from the inception. Connor Hooks does an amazing job with the layout and design for our tracts, books, and booklets. He also designs the graphics for the podcast series, along with a host of other projects. Our friends at Faithworks have been a blessing in helping us fulfill the vision of getting God’s Word to others.

A number of individuals work with us in the production of resources. Isaac Young writes the summary for each ETJ podcast episode. Andrew Goodman helps with language translation. David Mora oversees many of our Spanish resources and is currently working toward a Spanish ETJ broadcast – more on that in the days ahead. Drew Carter has been a great help on several video editing projects. Monroe Roark has from the earliest days served on the team to help us with transcription and editing. Phil Light has recently come alongside to help us with video recording for ETJ special events.

A wide range of people, scattered around the country, are helping to further the Word to the ends of the earth. I am grateful for their desire to serve and honored to labor with them. Pray that God will continue to use their work for His work.

The Lord is still adding to this gospel team, in His time and in His own way. It is truly a blessing to have so many gospel partners, and a privilege to serve such a wonderful Master. We are all just co-laborers for Christ.
