Big Mac Attack
Jack approached the counter like a knight on a quest,
Determined to order the burger he loved best.
But his tongue rebelled like a mutinous crew—
“T-t-two a-a-all b-b-beef—oh no, not again… not you!”
The cashier leaned in as a therapist would,
Saying, “Take your time, buddy. You’re doing good.”
Jack clenched his fists, summoned courage to overcome his fear,
And unleashed the order with a rebel’s cheer:
“TWO ALL-BEEF PATTIES, SPECIAL SAUCE, LETTUCE, CHEESE, PICKLES, ONIONS ON A SESAME SEED BUN!”
The lights flickered. A small child screamed.
The cashier entered his order and then adjusted her hat,
It’s McDonald’s, so I have to ask, “You want fries with that?”
“Y-y-yes, Th-th-that would be f-f-fine.”
“I e-e-eat th-th-them first, when I d-d-dine.”
As Jack enjoyed his burger, he had a thought that was tall,
Stuttering is no big deal. It’s just a foreign language, that’s all.
