Bible on virginity: My wife is not a virgin

Posted on October 30, 2012 Updated on October 30, 2012

Leviticus 21:13

And he shall take a wife in her virginity.

  1. There is nowhere in the Bible where virginity is prescribing as condition for marriage.
  2.  If you marry a woman and you discovered she is not a virgin is not enough bases to separate or divorce her.
  3. What God is interested in is your present spiritual state not your past sins which he has forgiving.
  4. However, we live in a hypocritical world where it is difficult to prove the virginity of a man; and where a woman is expected to remain a virgin but men are not encouraged to remain virgin before marriage.
