It’s with caution and some fear and trepidation that Heather tackles the topic of Barbie, the Barbie movie, and what other summer media can offer those of us struggling with body image issues. Heather outlines her history with thinking about Barbie and body image issues. Heather also shares her views on the new 2023 Barbie movie and what body image freedom themes and tie-ins she observed in the movie. Heather also talks about some other media out there right now including the powerful “Sound of Freedom” movie and a few television/streaming shows that are showing more women of diverse sizes and appearances.
