4 Questions to Ask Around the Table this Thanksgiving

    ree

    What are you grateful for?

Gratitude is more than just a list of words on paper. It is what keeps us grounded and connected to God in the midst of noise, chaos, busyness, and division. Instead of telling ourselves that we don’t have enough or will never measure up, gratitude keeps us centered on what matters—it keeps us centered on the God who loves us, who created us, and who breathed life into each and every one of us.

As we gather around the table this Thanksgiving, gratitude is something to practice together. When we pause to reflect on God’s goodness in our lives, we are reminded that every breath, every relationship, and every joy-filled moment is a gift given to us by our Father in heaven.

So, as you gather around the table this Thanksgiving, consider reflecting on these three questions with your friends and family:

    1. What are you grateful for this year?

    2. Where have you seen God’s goodness in your life this year?

    3. How has God used a difficult season or challenge to draw you closer to Him? What has this taught you about gratitude?

    4. What is one way you can commit to practicing gratitude this next year?

May these questions open space for reflection, fruitful conversation, joy, and a deep gratitude for our God. Happy Thanksgiving from So We Speak!

        Cultivating a Generous Heart

It’s always ironic to me that after Thanksgiving—a holiday to pause, reflect, and give thanks—Black Friday follows immediately after. It’s a day of deals, frenzy, and the push to buy more and more. Buying things isn’t necessarily bad, but it’s striking how quickly the world tries to steer our hearts from gratitude toward discontentment, comparison, and a scarcity mindset.
